Founded in 2013, BES provides high-quality building science solutions in the northeast and beyond. Focused on building trust and personal connection in tandem with their technical expertise and dedication to quality, their rate of growth has been above industry average. As it approached its 10th anniversary, BES needed a renewed brand identity to reflect its leadership, differentiate it in bigger markets, and set it up for success in the next chapter of growth.

The visual identity was built on the foundation of two core ideas. BES's key differentiator is its people and relationship-driven approach — both within the company and with its customers. And, BES has a rich history that it's proud of, and it was important that the new brand honored where it's been.

The result is an identity that balances tradition with modern innovation, and reflects the passion, purpose, and care of its people.

At a glance, the logo is bold, simple, and easy to read. At its core, it's built on a clean, proportional grid that allows it to become modular and dynamic—with ultimate flexibility for any use case. Conceptually, the logo is inspired by the flow of interior and exterior spaces and represents what building enclosure science is in its simplest form: the box.

To honor the industrial and organic history of BES, the color palette was designed to reflect commonly used materials, evoking transparency, warmth, and resourcefulness. While connected to its heritage, the combination of colors is unexpected and fresh, setting BES apart in its industry.

The brand imagery is infused with meaning by making the invisible visible—highlighting the process and people in addition to the finished product. It's a device used to highlight both BES's relationship-driven approach as well as its technical expertise.
